Paul Darrow rejoins Delta Capital after a hiatus as a restaurant developer. Prior to this venture, Darrow had been a managing director with Delta Capital. He consulted, reorganized and generated financing for hospitality, food manufacturing and food distribution companies. Darrow’s talent for operations, re- negotiating existing leases, loans, payment terms and arranging financing for his clients has proven invaluable to the world’s largest caviar distribution company, a multi-unit restaurant chain in Miami, FL, and a luxury inn in Carmel, CA. Darrow specialty in the hospitality industry began in 1983 when he bought the Beach Plum Inn and Restaurant in Menemsha, MA on Martha’s Vineyard. During his ownership, Darrow earned an Executive Chef’s and Hospitality Management degree from the Cordon Bleu Cookery School in London, England. In 1988 he acquired the Intimate Inn of Saint John in the USVI, which he owned and operated. Both properties became highly acclaimed. Food and Wine, and Gourmet magazines ranked the Beach Plum Inn one of the “Top Country Inns in America.” After selling his property on Martha’s Vineyard in 1998 (he sold the Saint John property in 1990), he retired temporarily in Boca Raton, Florida until he resumed his career in food service and hospitality. He developed both a multi-unit quick serve franchise in South Florida and a high end steak house featuring American comfort food between 2000 and 2005. Paul Darrow currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with his fiancé with a wedding planned in 2008. He has two sons from a previous marriage. |
